Fourth of July

Dear Quinn,

Even though you are the smartest baby in the whole world, you still have a number of not-so-brilliant habits. You lick sunscreen off your arms. You drink bathwater and eat bubbles. You think the toilet is the most fascinating thing in the house. The other day, I noticed you chewing in the living room and asked you what you were eating. You said, "Green!" and flashed me a smile flecked with green crayon chunks.

You mimic us constantly, and by doing so have made us aware of so many things that we do without even noticing it. Every time you pick up your babydoll you say, "Urgh! heavy!" You have also been known to say a certain bad word that starts with s if you drop or spill something... whoops!
Yesterday, as we were watching Jeopardy, your Daddy and I both shouted, "sombrero," which was an answer to a clue in the hat category. You then yelled out, "sombrero!" for every single clue thereafter.

You make us laugh so much that it is hard to discipline you, but we have recently been forced to designate a "time out" corner for you. You think it's a fun game, and will purposely jump on the couch so that you can happily sit in your corner for a few seconds before the process repeats. We'll all get the hang of it someday.

Here are some photos from our wonderful Fourth of July!

Daddy and Quinn at Independence Hall
Great parade spot!
You caught these smoothies from the Wawa float

5th of July BBQ - big girl swing!

There you are being very uncooperative while
we were trying to get a shot of all the kids...

We love you, Quinn!
